A: Nothing. QuickChat is a absolutely FREE service. We don't even put any advertising on your chatroom. All we ask is that you leave the "QuickChat Now" button somewhere on your page.
- Q: How do I kick someone out of my room?
A: You type /kick #channel nickname reason
- Q: How do I make it so that I am an op everytime I go into my room?
A: You first register your nickname by typing: /ns register <password> <e-mail> - or by visiting our registration center.
You then register the channel by typing: /cs register #channel channelpassword description - or by visiting our registration center.
- Q: Can I connect Quickchat to other IRC servers?
A: No, QuickChat is currently limited to QuickChat servers.
- Q: How do I set a topic for my chat room?
A: Type /topic #channel your topic here
- Q: How do I make someone else an op?
A: Type /mode #channel +o nickname
- Q: How do I stop the first person that joins my channel from becoming an op?
A: First, make sure your channel is registered (/chanserv register #channel password description)
Then, set IDENT on by typing /chanserv set #channel ident on. This forces all the channel ops (including you) to identify to their nicknames (/nickserv identify password) before they can gain operator status in the channel.
