The fall of the World Trade Center towers created an
earthquake, registering 2.4 on the Richter scale.

On Friday, 10,000 tons of rubble were removed. At this
rate the process will be complete in about four months.
[A new estimate of the amount of rubble: 2,500,000,000
pounds (1,250,000 tons).]

The rubble is at least 90% concrete. The DUST is about
99% concrete, maybe higher! In news reports people keep
mentioning the asbestos and glass (perhaps because the
tendency is to assume that concrete is heavy and solid
and so we can't visualize it being a dust, let alone a
very fine dust). Asbestos and glass are not desirable
things to inhale, of course, but concrete is extremely
abrasive (due to its high hardness, in geological terms)
and so it is very desirable to NOT breath concrete dust
as well -- in Manhattan, or anywhere else in the world.
I would recommend people be sure to avoid the ensuing
clouds from building demolitions, for example.

British retailers are removing Microsoft Flight Simulator,
a computer game, from their shelves after worries emerged
that the terrorists could have honed their flying skills
using the game.

U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies received warning
signals at least three months ago that Middle Eastern
terrorists were planning to hijack commercial aircraft to
use as weapons to attack important symbols of American and
Israeli culture, according to a story in Germany's daily
Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ).
